Update: New Nursery Well Underway

     Here's the new nursery, well along as of mid-May. Concrete block walls up, posts and beams going in.
It includes 2 bedrooms for new-arrival-quarantines, 2 group rooms looking onto the connected lush
enclosure, kitchen and storage room, and a multi-purpose room.

     The old nursery was demolished and the site cleared in December, and it didn't take long. 

     Materials - which can have quite a lead time - were ordered in January: concrete blocks for walls; cement, gravel, sand and rebar for concrete pillars and beams; more rebar for mesh panels. And they all arrived.

     Yes, we cut and weld our own rebar panels, treat them with an anti-corrosive, then paint with forest green. Once installed, these panels will provide both airflow and safety for the little ones, and become a climbing feature as they gain strength and confidence. Stay tuned!
